PT Duta Lintas Samudera was established in 2000 in Samarinda for the purpose of providing tug and barge transport service to the timber and coal mining industries.

In 2003, we diversified to make a shipyard at Jembayan , East Kalimantan. We are proud to say that we are the first shipyard ourside of Batam and Surabaya to ever build 300 footer barges. Our first barge was launched in 2006 and till present we have built over 70 units of tugs and barges.

In 2009, we succeeded in Dry Docking 300 footer barge and our slipway dock will be in operation soon.

As the timber and coal industries are ramping up their production, we follow the industry developments closely and similarly are also investing heavily to produce more tugs and barges to satisfy the need for increased tonnage.
